i left this to marinate since a few episodes into S2 and apparently it ended. someone give me a quick rundown of what the angst was about and how it got resolved. i’m not plunging in without knowing what to expect because i know these mf will pmo so bad. thanks my dudes! *blows some kisses*
Um the angst was all about the MC feeling worried because the ML had alot of relationships he even slept with a guy just to know how it feels ? There was a misunderstanding regarding this guy he slept with (he showed up about 3 times he is so fucking annoying ugh i hate him) but it was just due to lack of communication, MC decides he wanna break up cuz he feels like ML is hiding stuff from him (he was sick didnt wanna worry him ended up making him feel insecure and doubtful) but ML just gives him a break instead of a break up cuz he likes him (≧∀≦) they reconcile after 2 weeks and they communicate and all the misunderstandings clear up ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

don’t worry, it’s not that bad i say as they dragged me back into my room. but on a serious note, the angst is low, and both are working to better themselves. there’s no self-destruction tendencies, which is something i worried about in other stories. so i’m very exited for their reunion :)
honestly you put it so well, the "angsty" arc is them working on themselves, but lord is it taking 10 years off my life with every chapter LMAO
each time this manhwa updates on mangago, i hop on to some website for the latest raw. i skim through it, and if i can tolerate the angst, i read the new English chapter. can’t wait to repeat this process again next week *cries*
to be fair, neither of them have much personality. but it does seem a little idiotic and maybe even OOC for MC to suggest the very thing ML said he didn’t want his father to dictate over. also, MC has some sort of selective hearing (or maybe my reading comprehension was off): the woman isn’t ML’s fiancé yet. unless he really thinks ML is a playboy and cheater… it’s kinda hard to understand how he fell in love if this is his view of his love interest. hmmm, what do y’all think?
No you're totally right, ML isn't engaged yet, the MC just twisted what he heard to suit the narrative he was expecting. I don't like that he just parroted everything the father said to the ML?
Really feels like the author didn't know how else to create conflict so they had to manhandle the characters into shallow drama.
It wasn't even selective hearing– Ichimura just straight up did NOT care about Nishino's wellbeing or feelings. He was told to his face MULTIPLE times that Nishino was unhappy with the arranged marriage and had NO plans to actually marry that girl – yet Ichimura not once takes this into consideration because he does not think Nishino's feelings matter. To Ichimura, Nishino has to bear the duty of being the business' heir by marrying whoever his father chooses. Everything Nishino is fighting against, everything Nishino does not want to let stay as-is, is essentially sensible in Ichimura's eyes. He does not understand why Nishino wants independency. Therefore, he does not understand how any of this would make him unhappy.
It's a wonder Nishino manages to like him. It's a wonder Ichimura calls this "love" when he feels it so one-sidedly.
