I'm making a recommendation list for my friend, but I only read BLs and she would also be interested in hetero romance.
I will give a few bullet points to narrow it down, but if you have a manga that is absolutely amazing despite not perfectly fitting, please still do share!
1. It's preferred if the female lead has an actual personality and her own thoughts. She doesn't have to be super strong willed, just don't be a doll.
2. She really likes stories with guns, maybe a few murders haha, maffia kinda things, or investigating a case and trying to catch the murderer.
3. Really toxic male lead or relationship are a No.
4. It would be great if the characters were well written and elaborated. U know when you almost feel like you are getting to know real people and their personalities.
5. It doesn't have to be lovey-dovey or happy from start to finish, but it should have a happy/satisfying ending.
I hope i didn't give too many demands, I will be really grateful if you help!
Also, she won't be reading a lot because she doesn't really have time, so please only share the one or two that you love and consider a masterpiece.(I'm putting this here so you won't skip reading this haha)
