Am I the only one who’s a teeny tiny bit concerned with how comfortable he is with just dying? Like I get the kink play I do but I dunno something feels off

nah its not just u, i did too. As they showed, its trauma caused by the shitty king. In his character setring as the child that survived with mother dying, either they are super happy with trauma, close off their emotions, or super withdrawn and scared.

    my take is this:
richard got told by his dad ever since he is a lile 5 to 8 yr old that his existence only matter since he is a extension of the dead queen Richard's mother. King never treated richard as his own person. onmy as "the living remannt of my beloved dead wife" or "crown prince". richard is aware that this the life he is born into, forced to live and lives it. since his identity everyone just told him "you are the crown prince" everything is link to that.

without "crown prince" theres nothing there. and all relatives everyone associate is only related to to his status. Because this is whats normal to him, its just a normal state being crown prince and all responsibilities that comes naturally and sees nothing wrong with it. His high ego, well obviously hes raised to be a role of you look from above to below, not demeaning but the essence of rank itself. the whole fetish thing all the emotional shutdown made him nu.b, and punishment and physical pain reminds him his alive and feel things.

that also mean the one that delivers his pain and salvation "acknowledges his existence" as something having meaning rather than just crown prince. so whole breath play bruv just wants to fly away dangerously
