I was initially sad thinking that their love story could've been end game had they had the money for a happy life BUT after reading the comments, I realize that he never truly loved her.
He making bad decisions all by himself and we all know that he later blames Haesoo for how his life turns out.
He wants to "protect" her from these men but he is the same. Once the attention from other men was gone and she wasn't a shiny "object" to satisfy his ego anymore, he showed his true colours. Treating her like an old, used product that apparently no one wants.
And now that another man is in question, his ego is acting up again. It was never love. Not on his part at least.
Taeha is end game because he has endured the same abuse and genuinely loves her in his own way. His loving and protective nature doesn't turn off when other men aren't around. It's not performative, it's true love.
