Straight romance readers don’t get enough hate. I’m tired of them always bitching and complaining about BL/GL for having problematic themes and generalizing it. It almost feel like they think they’re morally superior for reading what majority of the population, consumes straight romance and recently they love trying to act like they’re a minority and there’s a shortage with straight romance. Every single fucking time I see a video of a straight romance manga with a good art style the top comment is “finally it’s not a BL” like since when have you guys not been represented in every single fucking piece of media?? Also always love, dragging GL and sapphic media into the conversation as if it’s anywhere near problematic compared to BL and straight or even as saturated like why are you hating on a genre that’s already underrated. Also assuming because BL has an issue with rape that it’s the same thing with GL and it’s for the male gaze if you know nothing about GL then it shouldn’t be coming out of your mouth. Don’t even get me started on queer ships because that’s another topic they’re always accusing people who mostly or only have queer ships as fetishizers like queer people aren’t allowed to prefer queer ships like you straight people do??
