I really see both perspectives, but I get the feeling ML is more in the wrong, not for caring, but for his way of showing he cares. He’s coming off too strong and controlling without properly understanding MC’s situation and feelings. His dad is rich and crazy, that alone should worry ML. If MC were to just up a live and with his mothers permission at that his dad would not just sit around I’m sure. It would only bring more problems and MC knows that. Although it’s horrible to stay his best bet is to hold on until he gets into college and can move out without causing problems with his dad.
