I'm looking to get into reading novels beyond romance, and I'm torn between Lord of the Mysteries (LotM) and Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint (ORV).
I've heard great things about LotM, and for ORV, I love action manhwa and want to read the novel first. I'm not asking which is objectively better, but I'm having trouble deciding which to start with.
Any recommendations on which one I should read first?
my opinion, read orv and then go for lotm, orv is amazing with great characters great worldbuilding and plot right, (phenomenal writing aswell), lotm is quite similar too- its more focused on the plot and mystery aspect. both are amazing but just start with orv lol. lotm is a chinese novel, and usually chinese novels are a tad bit slow paced. its because of the way the mandarin language is written. once you savour the beautiful story that orv is, you will enjoy lotm i feel
Both are amazing but I think you should go for ORV first, LOTM is much longer then other novels and its a lot wordier too, I took like three months reading LOTM but I think that was also because it was during school too lol. The world building in LOTM is quite, well, "huge" and there are a lot of arcs too. Anyways, both are really really really good stories but it would be be better I think to read ORV first since its shorter than LOTM.
And as one of those who worships Lord Fool, The Fool that doesn’t belong to this era; The Mysterious Ruler above the Gray Fog; The King of Yellow and Black who wields good luck, I dearly welcome you to our little tarot club.
I hope you enjoy the world of LOTM once you read it.
Pls for ORV, should I read the novel or manhwa first ?
Honestly this one has been a debate for me for years now, but i decided to just read the manhwa first as i know orv from there andd i really want to feel more surprised when reading manhwa. And as someone said bfore orv is masterpiece that they wish they could get amnesia just to read it again so I would love to read it when I'm in a good state of life or fluent in korea to be able to read the novel truly. But this is just my take as I consider reading novel as commitment.
But yeah i suggest reading the novel first as it has more in depth detail plus i belive its complete now
Rereading for the nth time, I miss this so much
