something really odd i noticed is that apparently the prince has an elder/younger brother??? but he was only subtly shown in the first season when they were around the ages of 11-14? he seemed a bit hostile, but then he was never mentioned again... i hope something happens that involves him. this feels like a failed Chekhov's gun tbh.

He did it just like all the other "green tea bitches" and "white lotus" characters from shoujo-type stories. They play all innocent in front of everyone (including the MC sometimes), then spread rumors behind the MC's back. I'm certain this is what happened to Maythan unless the little prince had someone else do his dirty work for him.
