From what I’m seeing She has a poverty mentality- she’s happy just to have enough so indulgence is unsightly for her but she keeps dating extravagant men who want more or have more. They’re a caricature of what she can’t possess so that’s why she doesn’t mind being the fool for them. Just enough is enough.
She will continue to be a doormat because she was developed with that mindset during her developmental moments. I assume she “stands up” for herself eventually but in the end will compromise because being upset and standing up for herself once is just enough. She was written a victim and she continued to be one even willingly because it is all she knows.
I’m sorry but when is Arke coming? Like at this point it’s annoying because it’s repetitive, arke past comes up and she fixes it. Her mom is irresponsible as hell, her father head is in the clouds, the grandpa is cool, but it’s like Arke is only used as a plot device to make Iris look better. Even her backstory was dry.
I completely agree. I lot of my enthusiasm for this manga has waned because I've been really interested in them digging more into Arke and her relationships with her dad and grandpa but it seems like the manga is more interested in using Arke to keep making Iris look more incredible in comparison
