y’all read with such a boring, puritanical mindset. y’all are obsessed with the persecution of people for no-nos rather than enjoying the development of complex characters. why do y’all always want people to be good people who never fuck up or bad people who have no redeeming qualities with no in between? listen. jaekyung is not a good person, and he has done unforgivable things. we can also use this chapter to feel sympathy for his character and contextualize a lot of his behavior. that doesn’t excuse his behavior, but it explains it. this chapter doesn’t have to be a way to suddenly shift to completely forgiving jaekyung if you read it intelligently. but it can be an avenue to where we see jaekyung confront his pain from his past and become a better person to those around him. he’s never going to be an angel, but he can become better to those in his life. if you’re not reading to see that, why are you reading?
