So I think KIHOON is afraid that yeonwoo will protect him again and in their past, past yeonwoo actually said that as well and succeeded that's why we got a glimpse of a dead yeonwoo (?) and so that's why KIHOON doesn't want yeonwoo to protect him over and over again cause he doesn't want him to sacrifice himself again for him.
