Any rec about domestic abuse, abuse from family or anything but the ml/fl is still kind and sweet throughout the story? Would like it if it was a wholesome story.

Not this being a background story of MC but in the present. Would love to see mc getting out of it and getting personal character development

Ok so couple months ago i started it and loved it. Art is amazing and story is unique and intriguing BUT i continued with the novel and was left disappointed..i think i stopped half way (after reading a long way)
I know its a chinese story but i was a teensy bit disappointed no smut (eheh)
And i was also disappointed with the MLs character growth..
I dont mind spoilers if it gets better so tell me..duz it?

    I think it was chapter...83? Or 85? Im not sure. But ml decides to return to the city and leave MC behind (if i remember correctly) (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

    Spoilers:
    After ml leaves tge city hunting down lil mushroom bcuz of his betrayal, his heli crashes and then they spend a lot of time on the outside. They find a lil boy with his grandpa..and all of this i read, then i think someone comes to pick ml or ml is summoned? Even after 80 odd chaps ML doesnt seem to act on any feelings he has for mc

    Ohh its been a long time since I've read the novel but that was definitely the time where they kissed and had fight afterwards (?) anyways i recommend you continue reading! It gets really good after you get through the rough part, they really do love each other, theres even one part where the ML crashes out when he realized the MC died. (Dw mc's gonna come back)

    You're really far in. If you still don't like it after getting that far, it's probably just not the type of story for you. Idk if anyone told you before you started the novel, but Little Mushroom actually has very little romance. At its heart, Little Mushroom is a story about humanity. The relationship between An Zhe and Lu Feng is important, but it's still just one aspect of a much bigger and (imo) more meaningful story.

    Lu Feng does develop as a character, but not in the way that you're hoping for. His beliefs are challenged and he comes to question the trial court and his role as arbiter. In that aspect, he changes and grows, but his core personality does not change. He is a stoic man throughout the whole story. You're not gonna get any dramatic confessions of love or heavy smut (there's some in the side stories but it's still pretty tame imo).
