I really enjoyed this story, but there are a few things that was screaming toxic even though I really loved these characters.
The "should we just have sex?" line when the seme knew he was leaving! Uggghhh! It's giving f-boy energy and no amount of family trauma would make this acceptable. I didn't even pick up on how he was putting the ukes shoes as a way to tell him to run away until it was mentioned later. Wtf?
The "you can't get pregnant" line bc he didn't want to use a condom. I almost threw my phone at the wall. I would have rather them just doing it without hesitation instead of mentioning it and choosing not to use it for the wrong reason.
Oh no! It looks like the rest of my message didn't save. I proceeded to share yellow and green flags too lol. This is a really good story. I wouldn't say it's wholesome or healthy...but definitely healthier than most smutty bls.
There's no rape. They really cared about each other a lot. The seme kept tabs on the the (bc he was rich and able to), but he knew the uke wouldn't like it if he behaved poorly in any situation so he's not abusive or controlling or anything. It's definitely worth the read. I think I binged it in 2 days. So worth it.
Soooo you can adopt an adult? I imagine since gay marriage isn't legal, this was the seme's workaround with the family biz... but is adopting adults a thing?
- Did the seme have feeling for his step bro? I couldn't tell if he just loved him or was actually in love with him too.
- What's the deal with Spencer? His character felt really off to me...like he had a few screws loose? Was he just really spoiled?
In Japan, that's how gay couple get married, so it's probably that way in South Korea too.
No, seme didn't love his step brother romantically. His step brother was very dear to him as family, which is understandable since his parents are like that. So he felt really guilty since his rejection drove his step brother to commit suicide.
So I apparently have a thing for rich uke's who start off toxic, abusive, and bossy. But overtime, they become posessive and protective over their devoted semes. I've read Minmotion Syndrome (my #1) and Taming the Tiger. Are there any others like this? The tags haven't been helpful.
I just deleted the list I was creating with Minmotion Syndrome recs I’ve been collecting from Reddit. It doesn’t seem like there are a lot, unfortunately. I think Boss Baby Bitch and Paid might be good options but I haven’t read either yet. https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/paid_fujoking/
I just remembered this one too https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/unromantic/
I'm about to start ch. 18 and I'm so confused. Are they not setting this up like the seme was stalking Jay? How do you have a box of pics with someone you were crushing on and then you meet them again and film their sex tape? Did he not know it was him because his hair was dyed? Also why does Jay have a different last name?
If the answers haven't been revealed yet, just tell me to keep reading. But if I've missed something early on, please fill me in. I feel like I might have skipped a chapter or two bc I'm not following what's happening here.
This was a fun read. I was a little confused at times and initially felt that the end was rushed. But the side story helped. Kylot could have been a little more developed...did we ever find out exactly why he was trying to expose his family? Who exactly would he expose them to? Annndd was he giving obsessive manipulative bf hidden behind his hotness? lol. I don't think this story was long or deep enough (

I have a love hate relationship with slow burn stories. It’s frustrating to have to wait a bajillion chapters for the characters to say what’s actually on their mind.
The MC tells the reader and his partner(s) his intentions from the start. And the ML’s brother is basically saying my own internal dialogue at this point. BRUH - finally characters who don’t beat around the bush,
