I fear he hasn’t suffered at all. Kim Dan needs to make him beg and grovel, but I think Kim Dan is simply too sweet and traumatized.
I'd argue that he's been suffering from the beginning, and it was himself causing the harm. It's just that the consequences of his self-affliction were too much for him to handle so he externalised them towards Dan. Suffering shows differently for everyone, I think tying the championship and giving up on boxing for some years was the best and most meaningful form of suffering for Jaekyung, and also losing Dan. Because those are his weaknesses and his purpose.
The themes arent explored well imo. The author went really heavy with the hate against mc and omegas, really feel like we shouldve gotten more for the siblings, the author kinda breezed past their lives and characterisation. I get it but they couldve explored the relationship with the brothers more cause younger brother is shite
