I forgot to reply earlier, so it's pretty much what the other comment said
I think Medea basically figured out that this was a novel world and while it does have a fixed timeline of events, it does also have an end, after which there is nothing.
Since after the novel comes to an end there is no further story, every character comes to a halt except the witches, so Medea basically just thought of creating this worlds own god to keep the story going on since there is no longer the law of novel keeping them chained.
And personal theory, since Eris was on the verge of becoming a witch when she was under intense stress/ like pain, i think the same process might take place for Kinita?(i forgot her name I'm sorry), who might become a witch after losing the only ones she was close with, also probably the fact that even though she wasn't supposed to be a part of the story, she managed to give herself a name and not be an npc, which makes herself powerful enough to be a god.

ohh i really like the last part of what you said. its true, it should have set off alarm bells when she gave herself her own name in a novel despite being a background character and it totally flew over my head. then when eris ordered kinita to incite the crowd to kill her, would that have been the catalyst for her becoming a god? or perhaps losing her brother in the process as well?

Yea i think so because for Eris, it was with the crown prince, who definitely wasn't someone she'd consider close, it was just the trauma that he inflicted on her that turned her almost into a witch.
And now for Kinita, anakin is like the only family member she has and Eris, who also treated her pretty well would definitely have been close for her, not only did she lose them both, she had to be the person for Eris demise as well by spreading the word that she's a witch and the final scene. So it's a combination of sacrifice as well as extreme pain of losing the loved one.
So I just finished earlier and now it's 4am and I'm thinking, what was the witch found with eris? Like I seriously didn't understand what is( ̄へ ̄)
What do you mean?

helped her find the future most powerful witch that will become god and save the crumbling world after the story ends
