I doubt he’s gonna let her take the throne, even with her supposed better spirit of light. She’s just a woman to tie down an influential family and give said family minimum authority.
Even if her brother vouches and tries to deny his claim, that pos dad will just threaten Dorothy with a political marriage or something to get him to behave. He’s shown to do whatever it takes to get what he wants, and those two are each others weakness.
