i am so convinced i didn’t just read the same thing as everyone else . like i feel like so many ppl on here are just yaoipilled and smutbrained because i thought this manga was awesome. of course you have to suspend disbelief a bit but if you were a kid growing up with severe mental illness, suicidal ideation, delusions, etc this manga feel so real. the amount of stuff i can relate to in here as having romanticized or having done/wanted in this story is insane. i think nakamura was a really accurate depiction of a csa victim with mental illness (that’s what i gathered from the implications of the last chapter), the random outbursts, aggression, and maladaptive day dreaming leading into really consequential events felt really raw and powerful. some people said the ending was boring, but i enjoyed it extensively. i was so happy to see everyone achieve peace in some form and be able to move on from traumatic events. i’m glad that nobody killed themselves as some people here supposedly wanted ?? this wasn’t just trauma porn, which i’m so fucking sick of. this showed that people with ptsd and other issues can overcome things and lead better, healthier lives. it rules idgaf.
