I guess there is other ways to put tension into a story

the author approached is writing a tension of characters panics of mc’s death or smth like that

I think that's an author's pov HAHAHSHA, i'm an author too but i do think that these deaths will push something in the plot

but srsly this just shows the lengths the council would go through the impede karas and how little they care about lives other than their own. human lives are but tools to them to get the upper hand and to keep their control. they need to actually DO something as serious as this to show how bad they are. villains who don't actually do anything are boring and ineffective.

honestly, if you’re already upset by these deaths (and i don’t want to come off as rude, as this is just a warning), you may not want to continue reading it. i’m not sure how much they’ll censor it in the manhwa, but in the novel when the setting gets moved to the palace, things are going to get a hell of a lot more gruesome and twisted — especially when… (SPOILER BELOW).

no literally, shit’s messed up. and yeah agreed, i’ve noticed how they kind of “glaze over” or lowkey downplay some of the violence and gory details specifically because of the censoring in those scenes, so they’ll probs just try to do that too…? but i just don’t know how they’ll do that with that scene or literally anything that will happen in the palace. not to mention, how are they gonna censor karas’ “lust-filled” arc

I understand the importance of the plot. It shows there is no limit to the council’s cruelty. While demonizing the ML, we must also demonize the antagonist or else ML will seem like the antagonist. However, the wording of this commenter was very unsettling. Death is never “fun.” I am sure author will bring sentiment to their deaths when the chaos has died down a bit.

Or maybe not, which is a turn off for a story.
