At first I hated this, now I'm having mixed feelings about manhwa...

I really didn't like how the romantic progression was shown in this story. Like it just makes me uncomortae when it clearly started with a power dynamic where the other has obviously the higher authority, making the other one have no choice but to obey. Regardless if she is okay with it or not. And thats what makes it off for me.

Like I get it since she's a slave but he basically manipulated the situation in his favor and now the fl somewhat was manipulated into falling in love with him (which is exactly what he planned and did).

AND I ALSO GET IT THAT SHE FELL IN LOVE WITH HER OWN VOLITION BUT IT JUST PISSES ME OFF THAT ML'S PLAN SUCEEDED AND ITS LITERALLY NOT IN A WHOLESOME NATURAL WAY BUT IN A CALCULATED WAY DISGUISED AS WHOLESOME.

I can't explain well but to me this just puts the fl at a disadvantage in so many ways cus since shes now known as a lover whom he truly loves, she will be targeted and get hurt. And even if he watches over her. She still won't be able to all avoid the bad things that's gonna happen to her since she's just a slave.

So maybe it's just me but ugh. I rlly can't stand the ml for letting this happen. Genuinely so frustrated cus I know he has redeeming qualities that makes him a green flag but I still see him as selfish and inconsiderate without thinking well if the fl is truly gonna be okay with what's happening rn. "Oh but he thinks of the fl's well being all the time" yeah but that's cus he'll gain benefits from that cus it'll make fl like him more.

If the fl ever tells something, that's the only time he'll actually act. "Tell me if she hurts u" u damn well know our fl isn't able to openly call out the disrespect she's been given because of her position and now ur telling me she js gotta say it? Like clearly he's not thinking far ahead cus he just explodes and has an aggressive and explosive attitude outside their relationship. He clearly isn't bright too if he thinks her tell rattling is enough for the princess to get caught in the act mister eating her. bitch please ur the land owner please plant spies everywhere regardless cause I'm sure he also damn well knows that fl s has an unfavorae position within the castle especially when the princess and her people is there.

So yeah at first I hated this manhwa cus regardless the fl is the only one suffering with all the actions the ml makes. Now I'm js having mixed feelings cus I feel like we're going to reach the story where it all can be resolved soon) ch 58).

For now I guess I have to marinate and remember fl as a woman who doesn't deserve all these things happening to her but still it happens anyway cus the ml only thinks what bnfits him and makes him happy as he ignores what other threats fl might experience cus he's busy sharing these happy moments with her. While she gets to experience 1000000x pain and love that is uncertain and could get her killed.
