Honest opinion : She actually ruined things for herself and Roger.. if she had not lied to him, she could have been in a better place. Roger before this wasn't crazy over her and respected her too. When he told her that he believed she didn't push his mother, I was ecstatic because in most scenarios the male lead is too emotional to think logically and see the truth.. but what did she choose to do?she chose to lie. Like the poor fellow just lost his mother, his home and you decide to leave him too..why? Coz he could possibly lose so much due to her ability.. like that is just a possibility girl it's not the future..see you are literally trying to survive and finish the game, you should think about that first ..and if you wanted to take accountability so badly for all that had happened to him, stay with him during the difficult times instead and try to protect him not run away.. either way the proposal was for a year initially so she could have just stayed for that duration..and if she could not go back, she would atleast have a good person on her side and live comfortably..
Now I just hope she can go back to her og world
Did you forget the part where the Crown Prince directly threatened her and let her know this was all orchestrated by him to get her to submit. Also her abilities doesn't allow her to do nearly any of the things you suggested. The reason why the Prince is like this is because of his long term exposure to her charm. It would end up the same for Roger.

What was the original end? I assume they broke away from the novel but didn’t know it was a huge amount they changed.
This is a bit long and also some points might be different or excluded here since I read this like half a year ago. I really recommend reading the novel as so many things have been changed here.
So after the third condition is fulfilled, Edith becomes the main character alongside Lize .. in the novel, the og author was bored as the story repeated again after the ending. So she decided she would make her readers possess Edith so the story would become intriguing and she could enjoy it .. not like how it was shown here in the manhwa.There was no scene like og Edith and og Lize trying to change the story thing in the novel.And the og author remained as Lize.
Lize ended up revealing everything when she came to visit Edith,who was recovering from the torture. Edith was disgusted at her and after Lize left, she prayed she would come to her senses.
Cliff had already seen through Lize's act during the yacht scene and told her that he will always remain by her side. He ended up marrying her. He took over the Duchy.
Killian and Edith left for Ryzen immediately after their wedding with Anna. Renan was first working under Cliff but he got tired and frustrated with the atmosphere of the Duchy and Lize. So he ended up coming to Ryzen.( He and Anna got together )
Lize and Cliff's relationship started straining. She started dressing up extravagantly and also made lots of ridiculous demands since she had lost all her powers as the author and also the plot armour. She would spend money recklessly and they would have a lot of fights. They had completely fallen out of love. But he couldn't divorce her since he had signed a contract the he would never divorce her and also always defend her.
There was also one incident where she would go to the crown prince to try to gain his favour by telling him about the emperor's lost nephew(?) something like that as she had done in the original plot and in that he also ended up falling for her. But the situation was different now and it looked like she was trying to seduce the crown prince. The Duke ended up being questioned by the emperor and then Lize and he had a huge fight.
But she being dumb continued to complete this episode by going to the auction where the nephew had been kidnapped but she didn't find him there as the plot had changed. So she ended up buying another boy and told him to act as him and took him to the imperial palace. There was also a mole kinda thing that served as the identity that she got tattooed on him. But the problem was she got it tattooed on a different place.
Now the real nephew had ran off and he was found by Edith when they were going to the capital with their child. (≧∀≦)
Lize was imprisoned in the imperial prison and was being investigated on how she knew the stuff she taught the child. And the Duchy was also under investigation. The boy's mother came there and saw the kid Edith had picked up and she knew that this was really her son. So Edith ended up gaining the emperor's favour and she asked him to forgive Lize once. So the emperor stripped her off of her nobility and sent her off to a monastery. Her marriage with Cliff was also annulled.
Cliff had always been working hard for the sake of the Duchy unlike what was shown here.He also ended up getting married to another girl. She was also a sweetheart and they both loved each other very much. So ya it was also a happy ending for him.
Also not shown here but he was really sorry towards Edith as he had forgotten to check the basement. He apologised to her right after she had recovered from her injuries. So he was not as bad as shown here.
Also there was no mercenary turned prince scene in novel. His only role in that was to tell Killian where Edith had probably gone and hand him the pendant.
help??? me too!!!! i really want them to keep the og one. i haven't read it since they didn't draw how much edith get bruised when the kidnapping arc (it's not that i like people get beat*n, but hey that's when people can see that edith also victim without the princess and ml father come to save her). so i just drop it and now here i am trying to read it again, i check the latest chapter and wow i'm so confused... i even thought that it's different story with how much different it's with the og one.
with this plot people keep saying there's something between edith and lise. hey, no offense but it's get us nowhere... there's still so many problem that haven't been clear yet and the author choose to focus on here? the novel is so much better than this one. i'm sad.. are there's still hope that we'll get to see the rest of the story like in the novel? ╥﹏╥
The fact that I too left this story for a while due to being disappointed with the kidnapping arc!? I knew they changed a lot of things but I was really looking forward to this TT
Even if I hadn't read the original plot, I still would have felt the ending as unsatisfactory as there are so many loose threads..
I don't think we'll get to see the novel plot as now they are making Killian the Duke so nothing about the development of Ryzen can be shown too..(╥﹏╥)
