I read the novel and nearly dropped it a couple of times because the misunderstanding arc was like 70+ chapters I feel like the misunderstanding couldve been solved with just a conversation but I definitely feel that jin needed to leave in order for adante to understand what he was doing wasnt okay but STILL 70+ novel chapters were a crazy rollercoaster but I think the 70 chapters of the novel could be like 15 chapters here but idk. There are a lot of side stories but I haven't started them cause I'm taking a break from it cause I'm stil recovering from reading Jin's back story which is so heartbreaking. Poor baby was so tramatized which I understand why he kept running away from adante but DAMN i just wanted them to fall in love already which they did in the end but still (hate haechang so freaking much he is such a loser and if he were real I'd set him on fire and watch him burn)
Please spoil me regarding backstory and why hate haechang? Lonewolf
Jin's previous esper had abused him since he was young because he was unable to save the abuser's brother. Abuser isolated him from the world, and abused him mentally and at times physically, I think it was implied SA too but wasn't mentioned again after it was mentioned once, pretty sure pedo stuff was involved. The only reason Jin escaped was when the abuser had to go do something and would have to leave Jin alone for awhile (I forgot how long) and the abuser had a friend? I think it was a guildmate go over everyday to babysit Jin. The guildmate had no idea about the abuse but caught on later and confronted the abuser which led to them battling each other, and causing them to both die, then causing Jin immense guilt for being unable to save the guildmate. There's a bit more details but this is the sum it all up.
I hate haechang because after he found out Jin's guiding potential he kept him and adante apart for his own gain, he knew where Jin was the whole time he was missing and didn't tell anyone because he's a loser. Not to mention after he got Jin he ditched Yujin (I have mixed feelings for Yujins character but it's still a screwed up thing). Also he lied to Jin a bit about adante and lied to adante too. He 'redeemed' himself in the end when giving up Jin but in the end I just hate him because he prolonged the separation of love birds
