WHY DOES BL AUTHORS THINKS ITS OKAY TO LIKE PUT THIS WHOLE DOG THING INTO A BL MANWHA/MANGA I JUST CANT- THANKS BYE THIS WHOLE MANWHA IS RUINED FOR ME ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ
Actually this an adaption of a novel, so the author/artist of the manhwa can't do anything about it
I don't know if that helps you, but it didn't happen. If you want I can explain the whole thing to you ( what happened back then, why Grayson said that in this chapter etc.), which would be spoilers. I don't know if that would make you continue this story.
Ok, Spoiler

First, dominant alphas who manifest very young are more likely to become phychophas, because they have problems understanding emotion. Chase manifested late, so he undeerstands emotions, but is still violent. That was mentioned in the novel at the beginning.(His siblings manifested far too early.)
Also that pheromones are like poison for them, and can cause brain damage, they can go crazy or wrose. (That happened to his father, although he didn't go crazy he is dependent on his partner.)
When Chase had his first rut, that was when he still lived with his family, and is was really bad. There was Chase unwillingness already there, but also there was no one around to spend it with. Grayson found him and panicked, and the only solution that came to him was getting his dog, so Chase won't go insane and/or die. But before anything could happen Chase passed out, and the took out pheromones by injection (from another story we find out, that their father most likely arrived).
Chase can't really remember what happened, but remembered a dog being there. And Grayson tends to make very bad jokes.... , and since he doesn't understand emotions and only reads people's possible emotions and copies fac!cial expressions it's diffcult to tell if he jokes or not. So for Chase it became possible. Since he rememberd a dog being there -dog trauma, afraid what happen when he loses controle and can't remember.
What we saw in the current chapter is Grayson using Chase's fear to get him to those pheromones parties (where they take out his pheromones by injection, Chase doesn't know that). Because Chase is not willing to release his pheromones in any way, doesn't even go to the hospital. Chase is afraid of losing controle when in rut, doesn't remember what happened etc. so the things Grayson said really causes fear in Chase.
Due to Grayson's problems understanding emotions and his logic working a bit different, his way of helping Chase is pretty misguided, the methods. He sees the result at the end, but the methods that he can come up with to help someone can be damaging, and he isn't aware of it. And Chase suffered because of that.
The sad thing is that Grayson actually cares about Chase, and Chase unwillingsness to release pheromones is really problematic. If not Grayson, Chase would have to deal with their father.
