It's indeed a tragedy, but go back fifty years and you'll see the older generation of our older generation complaining about the lazy slang/behavior of "youths today." This is a generational phenomenon. You can at least take solace in knowing you have the capacity to raise your own children better (and if not your own, maybe your nieces and nephews......
