OOF i felt the toxicity in this it was so delicious thank you... they're so adorable in the end of the side stories tho i'm so happy for them but i do feel like heesuh (heeseo?)'s chara development was too short. it takes time for people to change but i'd have preferred if the main story didn't finish at heeseo admitting to jinmoo that he didn't wanna break things off - distance makes the heart grow fonder ofc, and tho they def withstood the test of time the journey there felt just a tad lackluster.
as for jinmoo... what a SAINT . his patience and self-control's the only thing saintly about him tho his desperation is both freaky and freaky his rizz and aura needs to be studied tho cuz like yeah heeseo's pretty and charming (facade) but jinmoo breathes and there's someone bound to look and swoon #imjustsayin . wish we got more of his possessive desperate wolf/dog-ish side bc it's sexy also i wish heeseo actually got scared about it at some point (im freaky like that) but with the way he suppressed it hard-core it's actually admirable. bro planted himself like a tree in heeseo's life and turned things around just by staying. loyalty like that is priceless. good on heeseo for realizing that and trying to make amends but also jinmoo ur thirst so scary and sexy cant decide if he's a red flag for staying just as much as heeseo was a red flag for being an ass

now that i think about it they really did just fall in love gradually except information on isaac still feels wildly... missing i thought we'd get more lore drops after they finally completed imprinting with danny but he feels almost as mysterious now as when he was first introduced. a HUGE bummer cuz i'm in love with him and mel danny too, he's their actual child but we didn't get actual mommy mel moments with him
wish we got a whole crashout moment but it's understandable we didn't since this manhwa is rather innocent. still, the ending was cute! i wouldn't call it rushed, but maybe i'm just used to more dramatic plots cuz they really did achieve their happily ever after. i was expecting plot twists but everything fell into place so easily so it does feel a little lack-luster compared to other villainess manhwa.
still, props to the sweet and original idea of the stationary shop!! commitment to the kids was so wholesome also lowkey i think dominic had the best character development LOL BIG(?) LITTLE(?) BROTHER MY GOAT

LMFAOOOOOOO i'm loving this so much more than i thought i would when i first started reading it felt a bit slow cuz i just came from a villainess manhwa but this had me hooked. it was hard for me to relate to gunwoo/moondae at first cuz im personally a lot more expressive (would've taken to ahyeon immediately etc) and prefer protags who aren't really stoic. honestly i got envious of him at times too but through all that, i'm more than happy with how he's become less detached. him realizing he'd grown too close to the others before debut and continuing to care for them afterwards... ALSO NOTHING BEATS A COMPETENT TEAM LMFAO speaking from fan experience NOTHING hurts more than a half-baked comeback/shitty company. #stanloona also ive ALWAYS craved for magical boy concepts im so glad they went this route ok yap over

i might be nitpicking idk (personal experiences begin here) as an ex-lesbian now pansexual with a femme lean whose 90% of relationships were women i feel that this is like. the standard amount of drama per one wlw couple. ofc this ISN'T EVERYONE'S experience, my standard may not be everyone's but this story really isn't far-fetched esp when you pair two relationship novices with two more well-practiced individuals, you're bound to get stuff like this. novices will hurt each other in their clumsiness but sometimes even older partners don't know what they're doing. sad part is not everyone lucks out with dating people with honest intentions, people who are mature enough to take the lead and/or someone just as new to it as you are. growing together is what makes first loves special, which i think is what really cements the meaning of the story, but it's true that not all romances get a happy ending.
i loved the premise of the story but i do agree it felt rushed. i was surprised i'd gotten to the end within about 6 hours of reading in one sitting, especially since i prefer romances stories that Don't end with them just getting together.
the characterizations... i actually loved the glimpses we got into their thoughts. i felt that everyone acted realistically (as in, in tune with their role and personality not to mention as complex as their possible irl counterparts) but i understand why some might not relate with all of the cast. they're all unique in their own way so ofc their personalities clashed when faced with each other, but that's exactly what i adored; when they clashed, they acted realistically: stupidly, honestly, naively, everything in between. case in point, the classmate instigating all these misunderstandings for fun only to take some form of responsibility in the end. another example, joo yuna assuming things and insulting min suh's relationship with the prof. yuna's words esp pissed me off but what else would you expect from someone so fresh into dating? understanding and patience are two things you're more likely to only learn and further develop down the road.
usually i adore stories like this with painful realism but idk maybe i'm burnt-out rn which is why i didn't enjoy it as much or in some way i can't explain, the execution was lacking. maybe i'll return to rethink this after a second read? but this still gets a solid 4/5 from me
(also i love joo yuna she is SO adorable but i loved the scene where everyone backs off in the lesbian club when she says why she's there. the classmate gets extra points for hearing her out but yuna needed some call to realize how insensitive she can be in light of a world she'd only just entered)
this was such a ride bro i went into this thinking ah innocence must be wholesome then i got hit by a truck of trigger warnings per chapter and my pillow having collected an ocean-worth of my tears. no words . just read. HEED THE WARNINGS but theres nothing more to say than wow. impeccable, addictive, beautiful
rep meaning representation because i avoid reincarnation stories simply bc of identity issues. does the current life matter less or not at all when they remember who they are or find out they're not who they thought they were? if i understand this right, then minchan ISN'T seoho, rather a part of seoho is implanted in him. gwonryeom/jinmu is fucked up for saying seoho's fragment is why minchan held sympathy for bihwan at all in all cases and i have nothing but applause for team lapis for the impaccable writing. obv it's still ongoing but every detail of every conversation of every exposure we get to a character's personality is SO well-thought out. i'm ngl this manhwa feels like therapy. i can't stress this enough because the dialogue already captures the meaning of living, desperation and the consequences of fate but this manhwa is a masterpiece and every chapter only feels like things are further falling into place. i have nothing but praise for this, even while ongoing. i truly hope team lapis gets all the tlc they deserve.
also shoutout to jeongmin's playlist. i'm only hoping that i'm right but i hope the first song they showed on the mixtape was actually BTS - Young Forever but censored into TS - Live Forever. timeline's insane too bc the mixtape was made in 2017 while Young Forever was released 2016. if i'm right i only love team lapis so much more because young forever is honest to god one of THE bts songs of all time and a personal fave of all the artists i listen to
