So from what I read and understood the plot. The Blake family has had multiple sons who were the masters male lovers for over 50 years each. The first one was called Arden and he is a ghost dwelling in the bedroom lol, and the abusive dad was not a real lover, but he sent Albert the most current son and current main character to be the next lover to the mansion to get revenge for him since the master didnt grant him eternal life. All while there are ghost of all the previous lovers running around.
