The Ari defenders highlight a fatal flaw with feminism and women in general. They defend her right to partake in hurting another woman. She was caught in someone's house and at first she even leaves but goes running back to him the moment he says shit she wants to hear. Doesn't probe the whole situation thoroughly at all. Another excuse is she's young and that there is a large age gap. She's not a teenager. Maybe it's the character design skewing y'all's perception of her. She even has a discussion with her friends about it and I think one of them cautions her but that is thrown in the wind. She wants to be wanted. She is like so many women that throw away their brain when it comes to being wanted. Like she only ever gets fucked and she doesn't stand up for herself to see she's being used.
Don't compare her to na haesoo who had nearly two decades history with this man. They were both teenagers who loved each other. Who goes into life with the love they had thinking things would change so drastically??? We've seen the backstory anyone would think they'd make it but reality is that even true love most times cannot survive the pressure of capitalism. Y'all are trivialising how na haesoo was systemically trapped with debt to defend a stupid greedy woman that couldn't keep her heart and legs closed especially when she could. Ari has made her whole relationship with minshit being wanted. She's a shallow woman that compliments his equally shallow existence. She set herself up to be a body he can run to and fuck and that's on her. She can be there for him all she wants. Ari lacks the discernment a grown woman should have. She wasn't manipulated for years for her not to make better choices. She herself begged him for a baby when she barely knew him and it's not like she wants to know him all she wants to hear is how much he wants her.
