Oh what the fuck did I just read…
I have rarely read things on this site that made me seriously uncomfy until the end, but this may be one of the top 3. There was NO redemption in this story. It got worse and worse (not quality). This is all personal beliefs and I can understand that this story is absolutely not for me.

Honestly the story is pretty nice, and I think I would really like this. BUTT… an 18yo and 30-something year old is kind of ick. Woojung even acknowledges this, and I understand the story wouldn’t really make as much sense, but MAYBE if Jiho was aged up by just like 5 or 6 years this could be peak. Although I could say the kind of problematic age gap makes me more intrigued into the characters minds…

Guys what the ick. While reading I couldn’t see them as anything other than brothers (even if not by blood). I was really happy with Taekyung’s(?) story but then HE SWITCHED BACK TO HIS FREAKY ASS BROTHER WHAT THE FUCK?????

doesn’t really matter if they didn’t see each other as brothers, by law THEY WERE & their parents wanted them to get along/treat each other as so. they’re also incredibly selfish for still continuing a relationship that eventually and forcefully ended their parent’s marriage. did that fly over your head?

Honestly, it really felt like the author was originally going to make Taekyung the endgame. If I remember right, the manhwa was supposed to end around chapter 90, but then—out of nowhere—it got extended to 106. That alone was weird. And then came the dramatic accident arc, which felt so random and cliché, like a last-ditch attempt to shake things up or redirect the story.
What made it even stranger was that author’s note explaining the ending choice. Most authors don’t feel the need to explain themselves like that, even when writing love triangles. It just felt off—like she knew people would question the ending and was trying to justify it in advance.
It’s hard not to think that the ending was influenced by fan pressure. Unfortunately, more readers rooted for Joowon, and it honestly seems like that’s why he was chosen as the endgame. Not because it made the most sense emotionally or narratively, but because it was the more popular pick.

This PISSED ME OFF so much but also it was pretty damn good. Characters made me angry but also I think they were written very well. I like the messages it sends about not letting love control you and make you become a background character in your own life. And I think the drunk scene was maybe a little icky because neither characters didn’t really seem bothered, but overall it played its part well.
Was I too tired reading this or was it hard to follow along? Specifically the beginning and end felt formatted oddly… ? Or maybe that’s just what comes with psychologicals
