Spoiler:
These are like the last 40 chapters
Ines gets pregnant and Carcel goes off to war.
Alicia plans to kill the Escalantes basically and sends the panote poison to kill Ines. Ines survives and so do the babies.
(Forgot some stuff in between here)
Ines plots with her brother and father, and Carcel’s parents to get back at Oscar and Alicia for everything they’ve done.
At a party, Ines is drugged and dragged to Oscar’s room where he is also drugged by an aphrodisiac so Alicia can walk in a claim Ines and Oscar were having an affair.

Before anyone comes to the room, Oscar confesses all that he’s done in his past lives, mostly. He still shifts the blame to Alicia, Carcel and Luciano for preventing them from being together forever.
Okay here is where I love Luciano to death. In the second or third life after Ines takes her life in front of Oscar, I guess Luciano and Carcel hear about what Oscar did to her and that’s why she killed herself. So Luciano kidnaps Oscar and hides him away somewhere and tortures him by cutting off fingers and limbs with Carcel and then pretend to be looking for him. This causes Oscar to hate Luciano so much.
When Ines runs off with Emiliano and the child. When she’s caught, it was by Oscar’s order that Leonel and Luciano get rid of the child. (I felt so bad here)
Oscar basically didn’t learn his lesson from his past mistakes and still wants Ines.
Ines does self harm to prevent Oscar from touching her and as part of a plan to get back at Alicia. (She also beats his @ss, very satisfying)
Alicia walks in with some guards and scream that Ines is having and affair and harmed the crown prince and has her put in jail (a bad one apparently and part of Ines’ plan)
When Ines is interrogated she tells them how Oscar assaulted her and cut her with a knife and she had no choice but to defend herself.
Juan (Carcel’s father) and Leonel storm the palace of the emperor demanding that Ines be released
(Oh and Luciano goes to the jail to get Ines out but she refuses saying she won’t leave until the emperor officially releases her, part of her plan)
The Emperor knows his son is at fault but won’t admit it and says two days that Ines can be released. Juan and Leonel throw a fit. They both know it was Ines’ plan to be kidnapped and be thrown in jail but they don’t know she harmed herself. After they find out they lose it. Luciano as well.
Ines’ stays in jail. Pays off one of the people there to help her have a nice stay and food since she’s pregnant.
She gets stitched up with NO MEDS while pregnant (boss lady).the Emperor plans to keep it hush hush and he says “Ines will suffer socially but it’s a small price to pay even though it’s Oscar’s fault”
Ines is like nah, and everything that happened was sent to the newspapers. All of Mendoza is PISSED and they rally at the jail screaming that she be released. The emperor gives in because he doesn’t want to lose favor and Luciano carries her out. The crowd sees her cut up and bloody and they get even more pisses.
The town basically rallies against the emperor for a while and supports Ines. Alicia buys a couple newspapers to push her agenda but the people end up burning down those newspapers and Alicia loses.

A messenger delivers the news that Carcel died and since he’s a war hero the town once again loses their sh*t. The emperor freaks out scared his reputation is suffering even more.
(Oh by the way, Oscar has been unconscious the whole time only occasionally waking up to ask “Is Ines alive?”, Alicia has been drugging him for years)

Carcel’s family freaks out about Carcels death but Ines assures them he’s alive. They think she’s crazy lol. But Ines writes him some letters and sends them.
I forget some details here but the town demands Oscar pay for his sins. So the emperor gets Alicia to take Oscar out of the castle. Oscar is basically trampled to death. Alicia is brought back to the palace. The empress is piiiiiiiissed. She knew Alicia was doing something bad to her son but didn’t interfere. Alicia also admitted to the empress she was just trying to get Ines out the way so she could make Oscar happy.
The empress basically slaps and kicks her and Alicia refuses to take responsibility, just says everyone else is at fault. The empress forces Alicia’s servants to force feed the panote poison she gave to Ines to her.
Alicia freaks out claiming she’s pregnant with Oscar’s child but the empress thankfully doesn’t believe her.

Carcel is Alive saved by some pirates (30 days being unconscious) Marquess Barca conspired with Alicia to have him killed. One of Carcel’s right hand men took some ships to look for Carcel and finds him. Barca basically is trying to take credit for everything Carcel did. When Carcel joins the fleet, Barca tries to be a d-ck and say welcome back buuuut hey your men left when I specifically told them not to and that’s insubordination and they should be killed for it, but don’t worry their families will be taken care of. Carcel is all “okay cool, so I can kill you for insubordination for trying to kill me?” Carcel got the pirates who saved him to “testify” against Barca saying he told them to kill him.
Carcel sh**ts him in the head and it’s all over hehe.

Carcel gets the letter Ines sent him saying she knows he’s alive and she and the children can’t wait to see him.
Carcel also finds out what Oscar did and he ain’t happy.
Carcel immediately sends a letter back and when Ines receives it she shows the family and they’re all in awe cuz Ines never lost hope. So sweet

Miguel (Carcel’s brother) escorts Ines back to Calztela so they can wait for Carcel to return.

It’s a great reunion

Back in Mendoza, Juan and Leonel found an illegitimate son of the emperor. They tell the emperor that he should take in his son to secure the throne. (All Ines’ plot)
Juan tells his sister the empress to adopt the boy so she can maintain her position.
Isabella (Carcel’s mom) is told by Ines to be “make up” with the empress and subliminally tell her that all of this is Alicia’s fault (which it technically is). After Oscar’s death, the empress sort of loses her sanity but takes it all out on Alicia. This girl til the END is saying the empress is going to h*ll for killing her child. That she only had eyes for Oscar. Ines was a w*Nch… etc. Delulu til the end.

Happy ending!

Then we get to the epilogue of their first life and I’m not typing all that cuz I’ll cry.

Long story short, Ines loses two children to early death and it makes her marriage suffer (because of the trauma of her mother telling her she ain’t sh*t unless she has kids)
Ines’ is in self loathing and tries to push Carcel away saying he can do better.

Ines gets sick and goes to a small village to die. Alicia finds her and admits it was all her doing by poisoning her for a long time to kill her womb. She didn’t mean for her to die but oh well it’s an added bonus. While Ines is laying there unable to talk Alicia slaps her on her death bed laughs and leaves.
Ines being Ines refuses to die and tell her maids to get her mothers
When her mother arrives she tells her what happened and that if she really loves her, she’ll make Alicia pay.
Olga ends up stabbing Alicia in the stomach (cuz she’s pregnant) and then slashes her face. Then claims madness so her son and husband don’t suffer. (The only time Olga is useful)

And now Ines is just waiting to live out the rest of her life.
Right now, it’s where Carcel finds her again at a funeral.

(Nothing yet about end of main story and her having the babies. Patiently waiting for that cuz I can’t take anymore of this angst)
