In chap 14 jinwoo has a nightmare with the villagers saying they died bc of him. I’m wondering if Jinwoo already met gunwon before n if he’s already tried assassinating him but failed n got everyone else killed, including himself. If he’s stuck in a time loop bc he’s never able to save anyone n keeps making the wrong choices, it’d explain the dream, but idk this theory still feels like a stretch to me (●￣(ｴ)￣●)
Regarding mls plans to destroy the agency, I wonder if it includes destroying himself too since he’s also an exorcist. Does he plan on trying to make the mc (unknowingly?) take part in killing him?

Maybe that's what author was trying to tell. In lot cases like JK, victims try hard to not be like their abusive guardians as they grow up. Even in this chapter you see JK saying he won't be like him. But these victims fail to shake off their abusive guardians shadow and their manipulation. Some victims turn out somewhat like Dan and some like JK.
