Guys maybe I am overanalyzing this, but I think he's a masochist to find an escape from all the power and dignity he has to hold and portray as the crown prince. His reason for being attracted to Courtney's controlling and demanding side could be that he just wants to forget about being the person in command and just follow someone's orders and get punished for his bad behavior(/decisions)
