From what I've read, cakeverse has 3 beings, forks, cakes, and regular human beings. Kinda like alpha, omega, beta, respectively. Forks and cakes are rare, most are regular human beings. 'Forks" lose their sense of taste at some point in their life and the only way for them to taste anything is when they taste (or almost eat) a "Cake" which includes but not limited to their sweat, skin, saliva and other bodily fluids.

Cakeverse can also be cannibalistic in a sense that some stories I've read showed a rogue "fork" trying to eat "cakes" because they can't get enough of the taste. (The rogue "forks" weren't the main characters). The forks crave the taste because it's the only way they can taste anything anymore. Of course, in the world of BL, cakeverse essentially dives into sex because the saliva and cum of the "cakes" taste very sweet and flavorful for the "forks".

If you're wondering, yes, there's a straight cakeverse but I've only seen one here in mgg.

Once I think I stumbled upon one of those, I think there were the cakes and the forks and the cakes were really appealing to the forks. I guess it was described as a second gender as in the omegaverse

I forgot to mention, forks and cakes are not like alphas and omegas where they have ruts and heats. There's no fated pair nor markings. It's literally just forks not having the sense of taste and cakes don't know that they are cakes unless they come across a fork who tells them otherwise. No mpreg either unless someone writes a story with omegaverse and cakeverse being in the same universe.
