im never gonna understand the people who think jaekyungs backstory is supposed to make us "feel bad" for him. i dont know how many times people have to say this but a characters back story is supposed to show why they turned out the way they were, in no way is it meant to be a Redemption Arc in the slightest—thats why its called a BACKSTORY. Jaekyung was never born to be a shitty person, it's because of his household (plus the fact he joined a sport that REWARDS violence) that he turned to be a shitty person. What he did to Kim Dan is not justifiable at any cost, his backstory serves the sole purpose of showing us WHY he ended up doing those actions in the first place.
