I was like so happy that Sejin was bailed out and getting comforted by Ido in the rain, but BAMM the slap. I was like simultaneously being slapped back to reality. T_T
I know that this resulted from Sejin hesitating to tell the truth. However, I understand why Sejin is the way he is. I grew up almost the same as Sejin, you could never be right, and you were always told to bow and apologize even if you didn't make any mistakes. You really lost your sense of identity. You couldn't see any options to defend yourself; all you could see was just "Yes, I'm wrong." It was a horrible past. Glad, I have moved on now and no longer scared of giving opinions or saying no.
That's why I really empathize with Sejin, despite that the main attractor to me for reading this manhwa was Kwon Ido. Dang it, Ido. You were harsh and cold. :s
Same!! It’s so hard to break out of it but the elated feeling of joy you feel when you can recognize your past wrongs ╥﹏╥
Plus the artist did a good job of illustrating that to a victim yelling at the same regardless of said intention is going to bring out a conditioned outcome. He was thinking “this will be the same it’ll all blow over I’ll get everything to be okay and we can” and boom reality hit
I've been busy for weeks and just have time now to visit this story again. I'm heartbroken.
Sejin, it's so painful to see what you had been through.
The last panels are really tragic. I just can't get through them.
