I thought it was a interesting premise but it is trying to be more than what it is. Everything has become tell don't show. Character are been oversaturated with multiple plot lines and change opinions easily.
Like mc wants out but sometimes he is okay then he is weird then he wants to stay back wanting to leave. Then mc is like I hate you but I love you but I hate you.
The only redemption character is the mom why bc she dead
