If you aren't familiar with Omegaverse this might explain a few things. The Omega MUST give their consent to be bonded to an Alpha. Bonding is done when both the Alpha and Omega are in the rut and heat cycles simultaneously. Bonding can be achieved through knotting of the Omega by the Alpha or a real serious bite on the neck of the omega or both. Fated pairs usually do it through the knotting process and Alphas can also be bitten by the Omega to show ownership. Knotting can occur anytime during an Omegas heat cycle if the pair are bonded and without the Alpha being in a rut. Bonding is a forever thing...think of it as a marriage that lasts eternally. It is not taken very lightly.
