I get where u come from, and respect ur opinion but if u didn't know that era was famous for slaughter and stuff like that... like it was common during that time and it's not much of a surprise.. and personally I feel soowon is smart and a great king, he wouldn't kill yona for no reason like that.. I would love yona to be queen as well, but yona seems better of as a adventurer for me... like I like her to spend more time with the dragons travelling and I didn't like the fact that lord yu hon killed kashi, but I get y he did that..
If ur thinking that king il is a great king, I'm not sure if that's true.. yes some of his methods are right but he depends on gods too much and is very superstitious, which is a bad quality.. he believes in superstitions as well... also he married kashi just because yona will be born, that is someone who is the reincarnation of the crimson dragon king.. and that's shit.. as u can see he seems to do anything for gods or for their presence.. I wonder if he even loved kashi, or he just wanted her cuz of her ability to see the future.. actually i dont think il was a good king . yu hon was no better . remember the shin kingdom arc . from that moment i kinda assumed hat yu hon would slaughter people mercilessly . thats why i think if he was the king then it would be a era of blood and war . .as for su woon he tried to kill yona without any fault from her side just like his father did . and how can a child be normal when they think of revenge from the age of 9 . if this revenge chain goes on then everyone would kill each other . domination is not always the answer . the only person who can break this chain is yona . and that fake engagement just because people like yona .

Tbh, if you really understand the story... Thinking of revenge at the age of 9 is pretty normal based on their era and like its pretty normal for their time and that kind of hierarchy. Shedding blood and fight a war is pretty normal for them just to be a king or be on top. This kind of happenings in this kind of genre and plot is not really new.
