See I went through some rough things before myself and to hear your abusers past not be so great and comparing it to the things they did to you does a number on you. Seeing Dan have empathy overall is amazing, but honestly it’s not healthy for him to be so close to jk after hearing that. Once you kinda sympathize with an abuser, you overlook the things they did to you and brush it over. which is why I believe I’m not gonna like where this ends up.
I just don’t want this behavior on both sides to be enable because of a past they can’t overcome.
Honestly I really really hope that Dan gets friend he can confide in and just release all this emotion he’s dealing with because that’s healthy. And I just wanna see where his mind is at. To be free from everybody else baggage and go through a path of finding love and happiness within him self.
Shit I’ll read 5 chapters of this man talking about his hobbies and doing random shit he’s always wanted to do ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Btw, it’s okay to not like Jk because it is actually good for the author. I don’t believe it when people say the author made this chapter to make us feel bad, but to make us feel more tore and upset by his actions. I’m a writer too and usually when making a character that has such negative habits (like a villain or bully) we want the audience to feel self righteous. To point out the wrong doings as it symbolizes your stand on empathy and humanity.
So when people give a reaction to JK about not liking him, I think it’s shows how the author is doing a decent job a portraying his characters and his flaws.
And I’m not saying you shouldn’t like him, no matter what we all have our own experiences reading this. But for me knowing that he will have his redemption that doesn’t mean I’m gonna downplay all that he has done to cause a negative impact. It doesn’t just start with Dan, it’s with all his other partners, coaches, teammates, etc.
Plus is just more fun to hate him now honestly, so that in the future it can be a great to see how he grows. But still F this dude (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Just a personal take, but I feel like, if a manwha is gotta add rape, then that “main love interest” shouldn’t be the love interest.
I honestly feel like they should be someone you fight against instead so it can be a very powerful message because sadly we live in a world where these are many people lives.
But to be on point, it’s kinda hard to see how an author can make a character like this and form a sort of redemption arc for them to where everything can be “peaceful”.
I really wonder, because it’s not just hyungnim that’s the victim but the servants as well. They are all tied to this man abusive acts.
Because to force hyungnim to eat by using his nice gesture against him, all because he doesn’t want anyone else to get hurt is just so horrible.
I really only care about the servants, hyungnim, and the poor baby boy with the shaved ice. T﹏T
I thought his jinx was caused by him becoming a victim and not comprehending that because of the people in his environment constantly building this belief that sex and ruff behavior is the answer.
while showcasing how dehumanizing sex can be…. I guess I had high hopes ╥﹏╥
