too many amazing, plot heavy stories being misunderstood lately. stop speeding through things. take the time to understand and process what you’re reading.
this story was great. you can really tell when an author loves their work. its very apparent how much research went in to making sure the characters and their respective fields were properly represented. I could write a novel of a review about this one <3
some of y’all will excuse anything if its drawn well and the characters are attractive. the seme has severe trauma and attachment issues when it comes to the uke. understandable considering he was 8/9 years old when they met and the uke saved his life, the parents dying in the process. however, its never addressed or worked on. this contributes to his worsening obsession and desire over the uke as he grows up. it would be one thing if they met and then parted ways, but the seme was raised with the uke being a prominent adult figure in his life. the story doesn’t give an exact age, but it says multiple times that the seme “just became an adult”, with the uke still viewing him as the little kid that was raised around him when they started hooking up. gross and predatory. the story itself isn’t even written well.
I love manipulative, toxic yaoi, but their age dynamic is foul and unnecessary.
