Ant3 created a topic of BLACK BLOOD

this manga has been up less than a day, obviously at the begining it will have a ‘low rating’ (idk how 8.8 of 10 is low rating in yall minds but whatever) and stop comparing stories that has 1000 ratings with mangas that only has 100 lol
stop caring if people give this manga 2 stars and 5 stars to a story that YOU personally find bad, everyone has different taste, its not something difficult to grasp

But also, some people just give one star and change it when the manga ends to see how it develops, you don’t give 5 stars to a movie you havent finished yet

Ant3 created a topic of To hunt the stalker

This one has the BL tag on the comic.pixiv page btw

Ant3 created a topic of Fair Play Fair Lover

it is fun to read comments because when the uke is experienced and cold/haughty the comments are “omg I am so tired of this recycled plot" and when the uke has no experience and is shy or a ‘pushover’ the comments are also "omg I am so tired of this recycled plot"

Ant3 created a topic of Noppiki Naranu

Some will say that this is not typical of BL but in recent years there has been a small but stable rise of BL mangas set in the Edo period where the typical cut of the time is used, i really like that!

Most of the series/games/manga today set in the Edo period don’t use the typical male haircut, some otome games come to mind (which is fine! I am not complaining) so it makes me happy that is BL the one using it!

also, It would be great if this manga motivates a kind soul to post the last two volumes of Bena

Ant3 created a topic of Internet Love!

Please don’t get me wrong this was my favorite read from last year and I even have a physical copy. But this manga is not realistic; falling in love with a straight influencer from another country, he notice you and also fall for you, you exactly meets him when he is fighting with his gf? It’s like the dream of some idol fan tbh. This work is awesome because its relatable and contemporary, not realistic, it's just stylized in a different way with different emotions prioritized. The way the author connect feelings of isolation and alienation with how social media affects us, makes it relatable for everyone, the art style helps so much with the fluidity of the story, its amazing.

+ I’m not longer surprised by ‘this manga is good! not like the fetishized trash bl usually is’ way people praise any bl they like lmao. Especially sad when the author herself says she is happy that her 23rd manga was a BL because she was able to write a same sex couple without being restricted

+ As i said in another comment is just weird to me the way you guys express your praise ‘this author has to be queer because there is no other way that a woman would be able to write this’ instead of idk ‘its amazing how this author portrayed this’ ‘it feels close to home’ etc. Idk

i want to read it so bad but the comments annoy me so much man lol pathetic but i will wait

Ant3 created a topic of Lost in the Cloud

honestly i didn't understand why people said that fans of this manhwa were annoying but after reading some comments i totally get it lol

i liked it! but tbh after the conflict with Chan-Il i lost interest. happy for the author i hope she get to rest and enjoy the happiness she is feeling after finishing this work

Ant3 created a topic of Half of Me

It doesnt matter how many good bl there are, the staple is that the genre is bad so the only way BL readers can praise a work is to separate this ‘objetively good bl’ from the rest instead of praising a work on its own

‘a bl without sex, no rape and more importantly with a plot’ you would think there are only 5 bl like this the way yall always bring it up EVERY time you praise a story lol

is not the genre fault that yall lack any searching skills

Ant3 created a topic of Until We’re Together

I need yall to stop analyzing - assuming why people don’t like a manga and start enjoying and commenting why you like it, even better if yall do it without looking down on bl lmao

77% of people really liked it and the ones that didn’t must have their own reasons apart from the stupid assumptions made in the comments
you all are just assuming that people who didn't like it for the age gap read worst thing but I don’t think is the same people lol
when a work is trying to be relatable, you judge it under the premise on how much you relate to it. in my case it didn't hit, for example i don’t watch Rupaul, etc. but i understand that for some its good and hit home, especially americans

on a last note, bl and yaoi are the same + bl can be queer. queer is not a manga category.

Ant3 created a topic of Nerd Project

Not yall going ‘omg SO REAL im also fed up with that porn line’ after reading a chapter where a dude has a 15 inch dick and the other one says ‘Did it hit my solar plexus?’ lmao

Ant3 created a topic of Sonokoi Jihanki de Kaemasuka?

i am so happy that we can read the second and hopefully the third volume. but i'm a little baffled reading the comments for the first time, sorry but i don’t think this manga is realistic, any manga with a little of SoL and straight forwardness gets called realistic nowadays but i think the correct word is ‘relatable’
+ i will never understand the insistence of yaoi readers to say how difficult it is to find fluff when it’s not
++ the idea that this author has to be queer because there is no other way that a woman could have write something like this feels weird? i have never seen a comment like that about Iruma Hitoma for example

Ant3 created a topic of Wet Sand

i'm sorry but it's pathetic how some of you get so worked up because some want Ian to end with the red flag. sorry but you're not the master of "media literacy" because you want Ian to end with the green flag. calm down and enjoy the journey, for the love of God.

i honestly think Joe will be end game but considering the story and Ian's feelings, both make sense as a end game

Ant3 created a topic of Jijii No Koi

Oh, four years have passed. contrary to what many think there has always been a considerable amount of old man yaoi, but for me this manga has always been special since its humor is similar to a 4-koma lol

Thank you incheon for picking it up!

Ant3 created a topic of Danky Night

I love that most enemies to lovers bl I have read are with office coworkers lol

Ant3 created a topic of Princess of Boys' School

It is so funny how people always complain that yaoi is full of tender male characters that do not act as men but when there is a manga with those same qualities, comments say 'oh this is so refreshing, this is what this genre lacks!’ lol
Also the easiest thing to find in bl is twink x twink, and they are not even twinks, they are bishies or ikemen.
Not to mention how every time someone doesn’t like an ‘objectively good manga’ yall immediately assume the most stupid ‘Oh obviously you wouldnt like it becouse it lacks smut/rape Lol’. be normal, for the love of God

Ant3 created a topic of Owarenakatta Koi no Hanashi

I just read a bara doujinshi where a orc put his dick in a dude no lube no spit nothing, and the comments called it hot lol, I dont understand why some of you are this hard with yaoi. Especially with the amount of bl nowadays that names the lotion, condoms, enema, ‘I will use the shower to prepare’, etc.

the ‘realistic’ portrayal of anal sex here serves as a plot device, to add to the traumatic experience that they never really talked after that
its not that they believed in a ‘sex fantasy’ Tsutsumi was scared that if he rejected Mibu in that moment, he would back up. Mibu had not confessed, so in the eyes of Tsutsumi (gay) it was a one chance opportunity

Edit: Most hentai, eroges, shojosei smut, yuri/yaoi with smut are intentionally unrealistic nowadays. The same author who wrote a story with lube, condom, enema will have another story where not even spit is used lol. also my dudes, the women who write bl also have an anus and can practice anal sex, again is mainly intentional. and like, even vaginas that self lubricate need preparation, you can’t just go in there and thrusts like crazy because it is wet. Another example, when you are fingering a pussy you need to use a condom or finger condom, you hardly see that in straight or yuri smut but contrary to extremely self conscious bl readers, they don’t take an issue with it or feel the need to point it out every time, same with bara readers.

Ant3 created a topic of Ogi-kun no Natsuyasumi

I don't know if I would call what happened in chapter two assault but citing the comment anyway. Why every time a character who was a victim of assault and has a monologue blaming himself or trying to minimize the fact you think that the author is minimizing, condoning or normalizing it? like, do you know the levels of sexual aggression that women suffer in japan?

when male authors write fucked up shit everyone tries to find deep meaning to it (ahem eroguro)

so why when women write the same shit you guys instantly jump to the worst ‘she is normalizing, promoting, condoning’ when they are actually the ones who will experience it at least one time in their lives, they have the right to play with it, they are not appropiating a experience that don’t belong to them, its a daily fear for them. the fact that some prefer to see this as someone using us for ‘weird shit’ instead of an instance to share experiences because queer/gay men also have high levels of assault is just so ?! to me

is not that you Have to like problematic stories, but there is a really visible pattern. When men use women to write problematic stories people's reaction is always something like 'ok, this is disgusting, but isn't it interesting how you can interpret this as..’ but when women who are most likely to live these problematic things do the same it is always ‘another gross hag fantasy’

Ant3 created a topic of Ogi-kun no Natsuyasumi

Im sorry but you guys are really naive or too imaginative. please watch a porn with your eyes closed, it doesn't matter if you can hear the moans if you don’t know what its going on it will not excite you, so, idk if its because im used to bad translations in my first language but its obvious to me that he did not touch with his brother, he asked his brother at some point what was going on in the porn to understand the positions in it, because you know he can only hear. is not that he jerked off with his brother for the love of god! also ‘his kid’ its his dick.

It is obvious that the relationship with his brother is tense, older siblings are expected to take care of the young ones in the same way that a parents would do, and if we consider that Tago is disabled, the pressure and the weight of responsibility is bigger. So the brother is hostile but it shows that he cares, he must be ‘tired’ but he still loves his brother. It surprise me that everyone has immediately thought ‘incest’ instead of thinking that the translation is wrong.

Using Takako as a plot development is the only valid criticism and, nevertheless, I think that seeing her as the "villain" remains more in view of the reader. It is horrible that some of you have given her names when Ogi himself recognizes that he mislead - wasn’t upfront with her, what she did is bad, but both are 18 years old, she had a lot of accumulated and exploded, these things happen.

Especially because several of you are very selective to what it is a misogynistic or not in bl. Because if the female character is a fangirl or a fujoshi, it does not bother yall that she is used as a plot devices or that the story is misogynist with them because ‘duh those women are like that, they deserve that treatement’ but when you personally dislike the story and need to add more bad points you bring up the misogyny not to mention that some of you overlook really well misogyny in other genres (ahem seinen shonen)
