this manga has been up less than a day, obviously at the begining it will have a ‘low rating’ (idk how 8.8 of 10 is low rating in yall minds but whatever) and stop comparing stories that has 1000 ratings with mangas that only has 100 lol
stop caring if people give this manga 2 stars and 5 stars to a story that YOU personally find bad, everyone has different taste, its not something difficult to grasp

But also, some people just give one star and change it when the manga ends to see how it develops, you don’t give 5 stars to a movie you havent finished yet

it is fun to read comments because when the uke is experienced and cold/haughty the comments are “omg I am so tired of this recycled plot" and when the uke has no experience and is shy or a ‘pushover’ the comments are also "omg I am so tired of this recycled plot"

Some will say that this is not typical of BL but in recent years there has been a small but stable rise of BL mangas set in the Edo period where the typical cut of the time is used, i really like that!

Please don’t get me wrong this was my favorite read from last year and I even have a physical copy. But this manga is not realistic; falling in love with a straight influencer from another country, he notice you and also fall for you, you exactly meets him when he is fighting with his gf? It’s like the dream of some idol fan tbh. This work is awesome because its relatable and contemporary, not realistic, it's just stylized in a different way with different emotions prioritized. The way the author connect feelings of isolation and alienation with how social media affects us, makes it relatable for everyone, the art style helps so much with the fluidity of the story, its amazing.

+ I’m not longer surprised by ‘this manga is good! not like the fetishized trash bl usually is’ way people praise any bl they like lmao. Especially sad when the author herself says she is happy that her 23rd manga was a BL because she was able to write a same sex couple without being restricted

+ As i said in another comment is just weird to me the way you guys express your praise ‘this author has to be queer because there is no other way that a woman would be able to write this’ instead of idk ‘its amazing how this author portrayed this’ ‘it feels close to home’ etc. Idk
