about a thousand different plot lines with a million characters all entangled in confusing ways all set against a very layered political background… yet somehow, the author makes it all land very nicely in 45 chapters. this is definitely one of the best bl manhwa i’ve read, maybe because i was REALLY invested in the historical backdrop grounding the plot (im a sucker for anti colonialist stories LOL). naturally doseong was my favorite. my only critiques is that this could’ve been fleshed out better with a longer runtime, and inu would have been a much more compelling narrator. he was 100% the most interesting character because of his interior complexity. oh well!
