Love it! Of course there is the typical ‘abusive family regrets it when she leaves’ trope that has become a little repetitive, but the ML has raised my standards to a level that will be very hard to reach. Both the FMC and the ML are able to stand up for each other – which is a breath of fresh air – and the obstacles getting in their way seem perfectly logical instead of an obviously made up and ridiculous issue to make the story more compelling.
