it always irks me how in korean bls the top is always superior to the bottom, if it isn’t economically it’s usually physically or socially. The top will always be stronger or smarter or richer and that totally bugs me cause i can count in one hand the number of bls where the pair is on equal standing and the bottom isn’t in a disadvantaged position which forces the relationship to be unbalanced af. i think that’s why i prefer japanese bl when it comes to plot or characters because they are so much more nuanced and developed they always feel like real people (and the usual lack of sa of coerced sex is also a plus)
