Had time to read back and reflect on Jaekyung. I recall at some point how I compared this story to BJ Alex and how similar they were as well as expressing my disappointment as to how similar they seemed. But again, I must accept that Mingwa shut my mouth so quick. Unlike with BJ Alex where we had to wait for the extras to see how Jiwon would spoil DG to make up for all the crap he did (which to this day I still don't think it was all Jiwon's fault, DG put himself in that situation knowing full well what he had agreed to) In this story we can see that Jaekyung is trying to make the conscious effort to be better and to win Dan over. BJ Alex felt too rushed to get to the forgiveness part. But here we can see more of what goes on in JK's head AND even though he still acts tsundere, he does his best to watch what he says and does around Dan. Also not sure if it's just me but I like the fact that JK is also interested in hanging out with Dan, trying new things with him, and getting to know him as a person and not only lusting after him. BJ Alex was all just sex all the time even though DG wanted to go out on more dates, but all Jiwon wanted to do was stay home and screw day and night. JK started off just lusting after Dan but now he sees him as an important person in his life. He now cares about Dan, his well being, and the one person he loves most which is his grandma. I like that JK is healing his past traumas and attempting to help Dan heal as well. He screwed up big time and he knows it even though there are times he acts so clueless. I hope we see them talk it out at some point.
I also recognize that I complained how out of character JK seemed at first but after careful consideration I just think love made him silly/stupid. And also he gets hit in the head so many times in his job that it's bound to make some screws loose in there.

Im glad Kim Dan had a fun time. He is so cute and lovely. I dont care about JK at all I just want him to make it up to Dan and make him happy.
It just seems out of character for a guy who always refused to take a break and thinks everything other than training is a waste of time....also when he said "i'll just wear a t-shirt and call it a day" is also uncharacteristic of JK who is always looking fashionable in brand name clothes. Sure, not full blown suits but even just a button down and a nice watch. How long has it been since he started stalking Dan in the country side? Was it really long enough for him to change so much about himself? Even if he is just doing it for Dan's sake, it doesn't seem like he even asks Dan for his opinion on what he likes or doesn't like or wants to do.
But I guess it's a good way for them to try new things they otherwise would never do on their own.
Why am I not surprised they are making JK the tsundere secretly doting boyfriend type.
Also that Gabriel guy looks so unsettling with that beard. Doesn't look hot at all, more like uncanny valley. But when you edit out the beard he looks like Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent kind of.

But this one has more depth to the characters and their backstories than I thought. It's not original by any means, but it's more than I was expecting out of reading Jinx. I'm curious to see how the relationship between Dan and JK will progress. I guess my hope is Mingwa will find an interesting approach to that and not just the typical oh he feels sorry for JK and easily forgives him and throws himself at JK right away. JK owes Dan more than he has to offer after the way he treated him. So Dan better be living like a king with JK like his dog by the end lol (▰˘◡˘▰) kidding, kidding

Gotta say I was scared to read the comments at first lol I think my only beef with Jaekyung is how he used to treat Kim Dan like some bum and even made fun of the room he used to live in, and also the way he acted when the loan sharks were at Kim Dan's house. If Jaekyung had first hand experience dealing with that sort of life style why did he show zero empathy for Kim Dan? Yes, he ended up helping him anyway but he only did it for his own benefit. JK was shown compassion and kindness by others but he chose to take out his past frustrations out on some random guy he just met? My guess is that maybe JK reacts that way because Kim Dan reminds him not only of his weak past self but also maybe his mother? And so due to JK's resentment that is why he treated Kim Dan like a weakling and a gold digger? Idk...not excusing anything but just trying to wrap my head around it all.
