Only on a reread that I realized that the giant dragon scroll above Xin in the last chapter is the same one in Lian's house. So Xin's been taken out of the annex for the first time in 5 years. Idk why though. Doesn't the ritual take place at the head family's tower normally? Or maybe they'll bring him back? Idk anymore, I can't wait for season 3.

yeah the yearly ritual takes place in the head family's forest. im guessing the clearing where tan & miu got shot is the place where the ritual normally takes place. i feel like the author wouldnt specify that the clearing was abnormally well maintained if it didnt have some purpose later on. also its right next to the path leading outside, so maybe in past years all of the collateral lines' elders normally use that path to get to the ritual clearing? this is all just my theory tho.
i honestly think it would be a cooler setting if they did it in the head family's tower this year since we havent gotten a full look at it yet.
as for xin being in lian's hotel room i think it could possibly set up some cool moments. maybe lau will still hear xin's voice calling him from lian's hotel and he would be able to find xin that way. idk i cant wait until april man
