This genre I believe was inspired by the omegaverse. So I also was trying to figure out in this world which one would be the alpha or omega. Which one would have an advantage and control like alphas do in omegaverses. I feel like both cake and fork are "vulnerable" to each other in some way.
But maybe their social norms are different and consuming someone spit is not seen as degrading?

Honestly Japan makes some crazy new tropes in general. The cake is the omega/uke in the sense that their lusted over and the fork is the alpha/seme that are driven crazy with lust. There’s many similar tropes that mangagkas have played with but it wasn’t Omegaverse that started it, it was actually incubus/succubus trope. It’s where there’s a desire driven purely by survival not by procreating.
