I actually like that the backstory shows how great he was when he was younger. It’s realistic. Men become trash regardless of how well they treated you in the beginning. It also shows that he can’t let her go. He has an inferiority complex cause deep down he knows he was never able to really provide for her the way he wanted to. In the end he projected those feelings onto her to make it seem like it’s her fault when in reality he became a shitty “husband.”

Remember when your precious TJ ruined his own boyfriend’s life on purpose? Yall are fucking sick for excusing his abuse there’s genuinely no excuse.
