I can only remember a scene where mcs mother is unwell (cancer maybe) and he takes her out of hospital one day (i think by her request) and they take a photo together professionally. Then we later find out the reason she wanted to get a nice photo was for her funeral picture as she passes away shortly after their day out.

ilay being an absolute human unit that tears people apart with his hands but acts like a teenage girl in puberty because he is feeling human emotions (towards taeui only tho) for the first time in his life. Ilay saying “i like you” to tay in a way that sounds sarcastic and unserious but even he himself doesn’t know he actually means it so he gets mad when tay doesn’t say anything back which is completely understandable tay is also figuring his feelings out..anyways can’t wait for the apology scene that alone made me forgive ilay for doing that to tay i gen screamed while reading that in the novel
