I know subverse isnt a realistic representation of bdsm but i feel like the author doesnt really know about bdsm outside of subverse bc my baby boy is not a brat at all, and thats not really what subspace is like? The bottom shouldnt be anxious and afraid in subspace, also ik miscommunication is a trope but communication is like a foundational piece to bdsm they (especially the aoha) could at least try to talk instead of letting emotions run the show dhsjdkdk also unrelated to that but aoha isnt really a good dom why are you yelling at someone who was in subdrop and whos crying in distress?? I like to turn my brain off and enjoy but alas

Subverse isn't meant to be an exact representation of bdsm. It's meant to combine some aspects of omegaverse (secondary sex/gender/traits, unavoidable attraction, bonding) and some aspects of bdsm (control, command, protection, possession, directed sexual play) into a new type of universe. So comparing subverse to actual bsdm play is like comparing omegaverse to real life relationships. There are similarities and some parallels, but generally speaking it's all fiction, and only the parts that fit each author's specific 'verse are utilized. "Glares" as they function in subverse don't exist in real life bdsm, so there's no reason "subspace" in subverse should mirror subspace in real life.

I do get what you're saying and i don't even truly disagree tbh, i think its more so my personal preference on how i would like to see things like subspace/drop or brats/brat taming etc be represented even through a fantastical lense; i do like other subverse stories even though they're obviously not meant to be accurate representations of bdsm. The author of course can do whatever they want and I don't have to read this but yeah. Other stories I'd say handle subspace/drop in a way i prefer i think lol cant say ive ever seen a truly bratty sub though, that i would like to see
GrAAa It should be ME surrounded by submissive and breedable men
