Being straight is such a pointless plot material

Sorry y'all, I delivered it slightly wrong.
It's actually like this "MC being straight in a BL manga is a pointless plot material when it's just him downplaying girls into sex materials, he wasn't portrayed as a proper straight guys who in his whole life believed that he's straight just because he had a crush on one of his classmates, friends, or celebrities so he assumed that he's straight, they instead portrayed him as boku no hero's Mineta 2.0"

It felt like it was poorly written because while everyone saying "That's a normal student" like no, any guy in his shoe would've thought deep about their own sexuality because they lived their life liking a certain gender and now they were questioning their sexuality because they suddenly got suck into a world that they never knew. It felt like this mc held no attachment to his past life where he had friends, family, and everything he put an effort to achieve even if it's just small achievement. A normal person would've thought about going home because they've lived their life believing that those things in their past life still held special memories. So this story is 1/10 for the plot but yep I'm still gonna read and see how it goes
Gurl I was shook lmao with the prologue
