I find there’s this uptick of ppl constantly talking about chasing arcs. “Can’t wait for the chasing arc”, “the chasing arc is gonna be amazing” etc. I like a good chasing arc as much as the next person but there’s no reason to have one in every single story that you read. Then you end up with things like “Surge Into You” (which is one of my favorites) that has MULTIPLE chasing arcs for the same characters lmao. I’m just tired of seeing it
Imo many readers use it’s to justify shitty mls.

Why not though? I LOVE a good regretful seme + chasing arc, so satisfying. This is obviously only for stories where the ml is an asshole, in that case some chasing and suffering from the male lead (proportional to his wrongdoings) is necessary before he's forgiven imo. I won't even read a story with an asshole male lead unless I know that there's going to be a satisfying chasing arc (yes, I spoil myself :D)
I knew this comment section was cooked when last update there were people taking the Empress’s side like she’s not a literal murderer, rapist, child abuser etc. And then saying her and Rishar are the same?? Diabolical.
SN: I hope something actually happens with the plot soon cause this Ferris wheel plot is getting tiring.
